My friend recently expressed her frustration in trying to plan her wedding. There’s just so much to do, so much to think about, so many options. I set out to help her and in doing so created the following wedding budget planner checklist, sample budgets, and the brides get ready packing list for her wedding planning binder. The list was really helpful in organizing the many ideas she had into a cohesive event that was satisfying to both the bride and groom.
Sample Wedding Budget
The sample budget section was a summary of the various wedding calculators I could find online. I just ran different budget amounts thru them and in a spreadsheet averaged the results and compared the recommended category costs. It was a jumping off point for us as every wedding is different and that’s where the priority part of the planning checklist is important. No need to spend money on things you don’t really care about just because everyone else is. It was shocking how quickly all the small details add up (look at those floral category costs, yikes).
Bridal Get Ready Checklist
As the wedding day got closer the more emotional my friend became. With all the excitement, anticipation, and butterflies it became hard for her to concentrate. We created the get ready checklist so the wedding day would go as smoothly as possible. Some things didn’t get used however the comfort of knowing she wouldn’t have to rely on someone running out and picking up something helped make her feel more in control. No wedding is completely stress-free no matter how well you plan. However if you can help organize yourself so that you can really be in the moment of your big day creating memories for yourself and your new family that’s really something special.

Below you will find the checklist’s I’ve created. In the process we also created a Pinterest board “Wedding Hacks” where we gathered ideas on how to cut costs in the decorating part of planning you can link to it here.
